Maxie Alexander III is a 21 year old artist from Gardena, CA. His main focus is shedding light on complex issues that don’t usually get mainstream exposure. He speaks about the trials and tribulations of not only his own life, but the lives of those who have endured similar hardships. Along with many other issues, Maxie is keen on exposing racial/gender/socioeconomic inequalities, systematic oppression, and the struggles that come with being a black male in today’s society. Maxie has an array of skills which include song writing, poetry, spoken word, live performance, rapping and singing. In addition to his creative assets, Maxie has been honing the technical skills of his craft. As an audio engineer, he is thoroughly proficient in Digital Audio Workstations(DAW’s) such as Pro Tools and Logic. He is experienced with digital and analog sound equipment, can properly manage professional studio sessions, and can fully mix and master hip-hop artists and bands. Maxie aims to use his artistry platform for the betterment of people and to spread love. He understands that art has the power to affect people on a large scale and refuses not to share his truth.
